Gdańsk is the city of freedom. We all feel its greatness and tenacity, we humbly admire the centuries-old tradition of self-reliance, but also openness, multiculturalism, the Hanseatic tradition of exchanging not only goods and services but, above all, thoughts. Without it, Schopenhauer, Hevelius, Fahrenheit, and many others would not have been here. The city's eclectic and free-thinking tradition inevitably permeates our Faculty of Law and Administration, making it proud of tradition, open to others, to emerging challenges and the coming years. We act and educate in a spirit of courage and prudence, so that our graduates will be inspired by Gdańsk calling: nec temere nec timide!
